Another Tag

Leslie tagged me and changed it from 3 to 4 since the last tag was 3. I'm going with 4's as well.

Four places that I go over and over:

1. Target, I can't help it seeing as it's within walking distance from my job.
2. Jen's apartment. We trade a lot of baby-sitting, plus she's fun to hang with :)
3. Wendy's. Gabby asks to go every day but I keep to 1-2 times a week. I'm doing much better at resisting the Baconator. The people at Wendy's are genius to load a burger with nothing but meat, bacon, and cheese. The perfect burger!
4. Work. I actually enjoy my job for the most part. I have my days, but it's interesting work. I like my co-workers and feel fortunate to have a good job.

Four people who email me regularly:

1. Gabe. He emails every Monday from his mission in El Salvador. He is so grown up! I can't get over it.
2. Frances. She's a co-worker and the queen of forwards. They keep me laughing.
3. Marji
4. American Express

Four of my favorite places to eat:

1. At my parents, love and laughter make every thing more delicious
2. Cajun Boilers in Hot Springs
3. Outback
4. Chick-Fil-A. It's right by my job as well. They do a lot of free breakfasts and what doesn't taste better when it's free? Free cinnamon clusters today.

Four places I would rather be right now:

1. Outside enjoying this beautiful weather. Summers are incredibly pleasant in Utah. It never seems hot to me here since there isn't any humidity
2. I'd like to be at the BYU opener tomorrow....Go Cougars!
3. Arkansas--I'll be there in 3 weeks :)
4. Any place where I'd be pampered

Four TV shows I watch:

1. The Office
2. Heroes
3. Lost
4. Samantha Who

Four people I tag: Marji, Pam, Jenny, and Heather (I just discovered her blog and she mine)

The Bounce House

Santa brought Gabby a bounce house in 2006. We'd kind of forgotten about lately, but Gabby dug it out of a closet tonight. She had a really good time playing in it. I think Gabby has been inspired by the Olympics. She's been showing me her "cool tricks" that involve jumping and spinning like the gymnasts and divers. I like her cool tricks better in her bounce house than on the couch.

Yes, Gabby is still in the anti-clothes phase. She strips as soon as we walk in the door. I'm thinking that the word "phase" doesn't apply seeing how long this is going. It seems to be a habit now. Just another of the many fun habits of my unique little girl.

Dr. Gabby

Gabby loves bandages! She burned her leg last week (not under my care). She flipped out if I even looked at the boo-boo. I was surprised none of the neighbors came to check on us the times I removed the bandages and put medicine on it, her screaming was out of control. It didn't even compare to when she got her hair cut! She loves putting on the band-aids herself. We've gone through a couple of boxes due to her thoroughness. Gabby takes care of me, too. My back or neck will hurt from sitting at a desk all day and Dr. Gabby treats me with a band-aid and a kiss if I ever mention it to her.

Gabby's 1st Haircut

I should clarify this as Gabby's 1st professional haircut. Nick cut her hair when she was a few weeks old the first time I left her alone with him. When we went to Japan and China a couple of years ago, my mom trimmed her hair while she had Gabby. It was the first thing I noticed both times when I got home to my baby. Gabby is as particular about her own hair as she is mine. She hates having it brushed and for me to put it up. I chase her around with spray conditioner and a brush most mornings while she screams and tries to hide her head. I decided it was time for a change!

Gabby was not excited for any part of this experience even without telling her what would be happening.

You can see how long her hair is and just how thrilled she was to get it cut.

I gave her a juice box and that made the process go a little smoother

I think it looks great and it's much easier to brush. FYI, this little ride outside of Smith's goes on forever. I really get my 50 cents worth.

I think it may be 4 more years before she'll agree to another haircut.

Thanksgiving Point

We went with the Torgersons to Thanksgiving Point on Saturday. There was a petting zoo with farm animals where we spent most of our time. It was fun outing. The kids loved seeing all the animals. Big David, not so much as he's very allergic to horses.
I may be a bit biased, but I think Gabby is absolutely beautiful!

Feeding the goats

I thought this shot was funny. Gabby was supposed to stand still for the picture. By the time I was taking the shot, she was trying to hop the railing to get in the sharks mouth.

She was very sad about getting in trouble for trying to hop the railing

David and Gabby, such cute cousins!

Gabby liked the turkeys and was very excited when she finally touched one.

In jail, Gabe would probably say this is where they belong!

Getting ready for our wagon ride

I was surprised that Gabby jumped right on the pony. She can be timid about some things. She really loved it though. She name her pony Polly.
